Escaped Cherokee County inmate found in Georgia late Monday

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is looking for a work release inmate who escaped from a job site on Monday morning.

Jimmy Wayne Blair Jr., 40, was jailed on property crime charges last year, according to court records. He was working at a construction site in Centre when he left in a truck belonging to his employer at 10:30 a.m., the sheriff's office said. Blair was jailed on property crimes.

Blair is a 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 210 pounds. According to court records, his residence is located in Silver Creek, Georgia, which is about 45 minutes away from Centre. He could be driver his employer's blue 2003 Dodge 3500 flatbed.
