ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A stretch of sunshine is warming up the state, even though it has taken much of the month to see a transition away from winter weather and into spring conditions. Alaska still has a ways to go before seeing more green in our landscape!

Quiet and pleasant weather is expected to remain over the Interior and parts of Southcentral to Southeast Alaska over the next several days.

The central and eastern Beaufort Sea coast will see blowing snow, with gusts up to 50 mph. A blizzard warning goes into effect Thursday, and runs through Friday night.
