Fire line miracle: Ember the dog's story comes to heartwarming ending
The story of Ember, the dog who was rescued from the fires in Table Rock, has reached a heartwarming ending.
On March 27, emergency responders spotted a scared pup near one of the active fire lines in the Table Rock area.
Responders offered her food and showered her with love until animal control officers arrived.
Responders gave the sweet pup the fitting name of Ember before she was turned over to Greenville County Animal Care far away from the flames.
Greenville County Animal Care began looking for Ember's family and said if no one comes forward, the resilient sweetheart will find a new forever home.
In the end, no one claimed Ember, but on April 3, Greenville County Animal Care announced that the little fire line miracle was pre-adopted by the first responder who rescued her.
Staff members said the first responder is still working on the blaze, but will soon head home to Oregon with Ember.
