The Guam National Olympic Committee is set to welcome delegates from across Oceania for the XLV Oceania National Olympic Committees Annual General Assembly, scheduled for May 17. Leading up to the assembly, a series of events and workshops will engage delegates and stakeholders:

• May 10–11 – Olympic Solidarity finance workshops (hosted by the International Olympic Committee for member NOC secretary generals and finance officers)
• May 12 – Marketplace and one-on-one sessions between NOCs and OS
• May 13–14 – Olympic Solidarity Oceania Forum
• May 13 – OSFO annual general meeting
• May 14 – Welcome reception
• May 15–16 – ONOC strategic planning workshops

In addition, Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee, will make a special return visit to Guam for this historic occasion. Having previously visited the island in April 2019, Bach will attend the assembly ahead of his scheduled departure from office in June 2025, as his term comes to an end.

GNOC is working closely with local stakeholders to deliver the event, which will include an official opening of the general assembly meeting by Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero of Guam on May 17.

The XLV ONOC Annual General Assembly represents a crucial moment for Oceania’s Olympic movement, as leaders and stakeholders collaborate to shape the future of sports in the region.
