Justin Foy pitched a five-hit shut when 15th-seeded Perth Amboy defeated eighteenth-seeded Carteret 10-0 in the play-in round of the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament in Perth Amboy.

Foy allowed five hits while striking out nine and walking none.

Chris Rodriguez led the offense by going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs driven in and a run scored.

Chris Aracena and Yendy Tomas each finished with two RBIs.

Nick Kee led Carteret by going 2-for-3 with two singles.

Perth Amboy (5-10) extends its winning streak to four games and will visit second-seeded South Plainfield in the first round of the GMC Tournament on Monday, while Carteret (8-9) will face East Brunswick Magnet at TD Bank Ballpark later today.
