The Crusaders are hopeful star fullback Will Jordan will recover from a knee injury before the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season is over.
Jordan limped off the field in the first half of the Crusaders’ 35-19 loss to the Chiefs in Christchurch on Saturday night.
The Crusaders have confirmed the All Blacks fullback/wing suffered a medial ligament sprain.
The Crusaders said in a statement that their medical team are unable to determine his return to play time frame at this stage; they are gathering more information and will have an update later this week.
They say however, initial indications are he will return to play before the end of the Super Rugby Pacific competition.
The Crusaders, currently third on the competition table behind the Chiefs and Brumbies, have three games to play in the regular season before the playoffs.
The Crusaders take on the Waratahs at 9.35pm Friday.
In other games, the Hurricanes play the Highlanders at 7.05pm Friday, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua host the Force at 3.35pm Saturday, Moana Pasifika meet the Blues at 7.05pm Saturday while the Brumbies take on the Reds at 9.35pm Saturday.
