Ad of the Day: The Netherlands’ longest-running campaign returns with ‘Scammers’
The phrase ‘Even Apeldoorn bellen’ references Centraal Beheer’s hometown of Apeldoorn, where the company has been headquartered since 1972. The campaign slogan was introduced in the mid-eighties to emphasize the brand’s commitment to being readily accessible to customers in times of need and is still used today.
For more than four decades, the campaign has been a cornerstone of Dutch advertising culture. Now, the campaign is back but with a new agency in TBWA\Neboko, following 37 years working with DDB Unlimited.
In the new short, ‘Scammers,’ viewers follow the misadventure of a young backpacker whose brief lapse in attention triggers a domino effect. Directed by Bart Timmer, the film balances sharp comedic timing with unexpected twists.
