Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and U.S. Senator Steve Daines, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, discussed issues of strengthening U.S.-Georgia relations, according to a statement shared on the senator’s X account.
“Senator Steve Daines today welcomed the opportunity to meet with Georgian Prime Minister Kobakhidze to discuss issues of strengthening U.S.-Georgia relations. The senator reaffirmed Georgia’s crucial role in promoting peace and prosperity in the Caucasus and beyond, and he strongly urged Georgia to closely cooperate with President Trump and his administration in order to advance our shared economic and security interests,” the statement says.
As a reminder, Senator Steve Daines, a member of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, arrived in Georgia today.
