All right, welcome back on this Friday night. Unfortunately, guys, we're heading for what our 10th straight weekend with some measurable rain in the forecast. We can't escape it, but it's not all gloom though, right, all weekend long. It would be great to snap this pattern in the month of June, right, because Sunday is the better out of the two days, right, Colleen? Here's hoping if we get June gloom this year, we're not gonna be able to handle it. We're gonna need emotional support meetings if that is how it turns out, so hopefully. You can shift that pattern, but for now, let's stack another one on. Beautiful out there this evening. Look at this view at Moosehead Lake right now, very tranquil. *** little bit of blue sky in the distance, but plenty of cloud cover overhead. We're going to see clouds thickening up later on tonight and eventually the fog moving in as well. Temperatures don't drop too much or lows are in the 50s overnight tonight, but the steady rain, the downpours, those don't really move in until early tomorrow morning. So as we go through the evening here, we may. Have *** stray shower or two, but we're pretty quiet until the fog rolls in after midnight. Couple of showers ahead of the main batch of rain, but that really arrives after sunrise tomorrow morning. So you could see the downpours getting in here at 6 a.m., 8 a.m. heavy rain coming down across much of the area. The first half of the day will definitely be the worst of it. Here's noontime tomorrow. Still downpours up north, but southern Maine's starting to dry out *** little bit. We could still Have *** passing shower late afternoon or evening, but the worst of it will be over by about 120 to 2 p.m. tomorrow. Tomorrow night we still have the chance for some scattered showers, but by the time we get into Sunday, things are trending bit better for us, trending drier, *** little bit brighter. Notice still plenty of clouds around in the morning, but some sunshine breaking through Sunday afternoon and evening. So definitely Sunday looking like the better of the two weekend days for us here. Small chance we could still see an isolated shower, but overall that's going to be *** brighter and nicer day for us on Sunday. We're starting off *** little cool in the 50s, but 60s for us in the afternoon and not too far off from normal actually for us as we get into early June. Now next week we're talking about warmer temps, brighter days for the first half of the week as well. 70s for the coastline, 80s for inland areas next week, *** really nice stretch, Thursday through Saturday. we may be getting back into that showery thunderstorm pattern, but we'll take the dry stretch while we can get it. Pollen levels will be nice and low through the weekend. That's your silver lining with this rain, staying low on Sunday, but Monday with doesn't take very many dry days for it to start to climb once again. So tonight we'll see the fog, lows in the 50s. Rain arrives late in the night tonight. Impact weather for your Saturday. Again, the worst of it will be in the morning. That's when we'll see the heavy. Downpours, maybe *** rumble of thunder, just *** passing shower in the back half of the day, and then Sunday is looking better. Look at these temps next week for inland areas. We're talking 80s on Wednesday and Thursday. Some summer-like warmth in the first week of June for us. Portland's looking good as well. Temps in the 70s, likely some sea breeze days that we'll be dealing with, but *** nice dry stretch brings us on through the middle part of the week. You could see that pattern breaking down again though by the time we get to Thursday.

During the afternoon, temperatures are expected to reach only the lower 60s. East winds, shifting to the southeast, will start gusting at around 20 to 25 mph.A passing shower or thunderstorm will remain possible Saturday afternoon and evening, followed by a round of widely scattered showers overnight. Rainfall totals will range between half an inch and one and a half inches. Inland and mountain areas will receive the most rain and for the longest duration. We are looking at just an isolated shower possible on Sunday, but largely a drier and brighter day with highs in the 60s. A warming trend follows with highs in the 70s and 80s by Tuesday of next week. The heat comes with a multi-day stretch of sunshine, which may come to an end toward the end of the work week.
