Joe Biden threatens to 'beat the hell out of' Jake Tapper while defending his mental competency

Former President Joe Biden threatened to "beat the hell out of" those who questioned his mental competency, particularly CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios' Alex Thompson, while addressing questions about his prostate cancer diagnosis.
Biden, the oldest president in the White House, had many critics who questioned his physical and cognitive abilities as commander-in-chief. While he ran for re-election against President Donald Trump in 2024, he dropped out after a particularly disastrous debate performance.
Recent discussions around Biden's health have been further fuelled by Tapper and Thompson coming out with a new book called "Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again," which has been described by Tapper as a bigger scandal than Watergate.
Biden, who made his first public speech since being diagnosed with an "aggressive" form of prostate cancer, at an annual event in New Castle, Delaware, for a Memorial Day service at Veterans Memorial Park, said he is "optimistic" about his treatment.
"There's also been a lot of discussion recently about your mental and physical capabilities while you were in office," a reporter then asked.

I am mentally incompetent, I can't walk, and I can beat the hell out of both of them," he said, referring to the co-authors.
Later, when he was asked about his presidency, Biden said that he had "no regrets."
The somber event that Biden attended also marked the 10th anniversary of his son, Beau's, death from brain cancer.
During his speech, the former president paid tribute to his fallen son. "I know that for many of you, Memorial Day, like for us, is deeply personal," Biden said.
Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made a bold claim on Thursday when asked by the press if the former First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, should testify to Congress for being "complicit in the coverup" of Biden's health decline.
"I think, frankly, the former first lady should certainly speak up about what she saw in regards to her husband and when she saw and what she knew," Leavitt said, the Express US reported.
Leavitt alleged that if anyone looked at the photographic and video evidence of the former president with "your own eyes and a little bit of common sense," his alleged health and cognitive decline were visible and that it was a "clear coverup."
"Jill Biden was certainly complicit in that coverup," Leavitt claimed, saying that there is documented evidence of Dr. Biden "shielding her husband away from the cameras."
"She is still lying to the American people. She still thinks the American public are so stupid they are going to believe her lies and, frankly, it is insulting and she needs to answer for it," Leavitt said, referring to the Bidens' interview on The View.
Leavitt's interview was followed by Trump on Friday, who, during his farewell event to special government employee Elon Musk, said that he "doesn't feel sorry" for Biden following the latter's cancer diagnosis, The Mirror US reported.
Calling his former political opponent "moderate," Trump said that Biden is "not a smart person" but a "vicious person."
"If you feel sorry for him, don't feel so sorry, because he's vicious. What he did with his political opponent and all the people that he hurt- he hurt a lot of people," Trump said, referring to his conviction that took place under the Biden administration.
