A Devon farm is celebrating a sweet new chapter with its products now on sale in Japan. Langage Farm's award-winning ice cream & clotted cream is being served at The British Shop, a recently-opened ice cream parlour in Tokyo.

The British Shop is said to offer an "indulgent British experience in every scoop", serving up signature flavours including Devon Toffee, Clotted Cream Vanilla. There's even the famous 99 for Tokyo locals and tourists alike to enjoy.

The ice cream parlour is the latest venture by Mark Spencer, a British entrepreneur and founder of the Hobgoblin branded Pubs in Japan who is known for bringing a taste of British culture to Japan’s food and drink scene.

The British Ambassador to Japan attended the official opening of the shop and cut the ribbon.

Steve Davies, national accounts & marketing manager at Langage Farm, said: "We are thrilled to see Langage Farm products land in Tokyo.

"This collaboration with Hobgoblin Japan is not only a celebration of great taste but a proud moment for Devon.

"We’ve built our reputation on exceptional quality and authenticity, and it’s fantastic to see those values resonate across the world.

"Mark Spencer’s vision and ability to identify new opportunities, combined with his passion for British excellence make him the perfect partner for us in Japan."

The family-owned dairy farm near Plymouth uses traditional methods to create a variety of yogurts, creams, sorbets, desserts and ice creams including its popular Devonshire clotted cream.

It also makes a range of desserts for M&S including a chocolate ganache and a Valentine's Day lemon posset, and yoghurts including lemon curd, strawberry, cherry and raspberry flavours.

The farm has been a working farmstead for over 900 years. It has a herd of over 250 Jersey and Guernsey cows, with the third generation of the Harvey family now at the helm.
