A Taunton man is preparing for a major cycling challenge to support a charity close to his heart.
Ray Paice, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in late 2024, is taking part in the Tour De 4 cycling challenge on Sunday, September 7 to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
Donations are being welcomed at gofundme.com/f/my-tour-de-4-fundraiser-to-fight-cancer-cds5b.
After noticing he was urinating more frequently, Mr Paice sought medical advice and was diagnosed with two aggressive tumours, which had begun to spread to his lymph nodes.
Following a three-month chemotherapy programme, with a positive prognosis, he is due to start radiotherapy this month.
He is now training to cycle 90km, a significant milestone in his recovery.
A spokesperson for Mr Paice said: "As a long-time cyclist, he is eager to give back to the charities that have supported him, including Macmillan Cancer Support."
