Eastern Margins announces new LP from Jianbo, shares ‘Suya feat. Namani’: Listen
'Everything For The Family' is the debut full-length release from the Chinese-Vietnamese-British artist

Eastern Margins is releasing a new LP from Jianbo.
Out on 18th July, 'Everything For The Family' is the debut full-length release from the Chinese-Vietnamese-British artist, which was written following the sudden passing of his childhood friend Dominic Morgan.
Described in a press release as "a deeply personal record exploring grief, brotherhood, and chosen family", the LP was created between hotel rooms across Asia and in the artist's southeast London bedroom.
'Everything For The Family' packs in guest spots from Namani, Charlie Wayne (Black Country, New Road), Skydaddy, India Blue, VVilhelm (Ebi Soda), and Hilts (formerly of The Square) while stylistically mixing grime, jazz, and post-punk.
"This record is for the people who held me up when everything else fell apart," said Jianbo. "It started in hotel rooms and makeshift studios across Asia and ended in my bedroom in South East London. It’s about grief, brotherhood, and what happens when you lose someone you thought would always be there. Every verse, every voice on this record, is family to me."
You can listen to the LP's first single, ‘Suya feat. Namani’, below.
Eastern Margins kicked off its Road to Margins United event series last month with an event at Hackney's The Glove That Fits. On 19th July, the UK collective and label will pay homage to "fast and furious bass-heavy music" with RTMU Club at Village Underground.
The Road to Margins United event series arrives ahead of the crew's day-to-night Margins United festival in London on 27th September, which will celebrate alternative East and South-East Asian creativity
