Enjoy arcades and VR at 10 Delaware places this summer

Virtual reality and arcades are popular, and there are more than a handful of places in Delaware to enjoy the games.
Here are some places around the state where folks can find VR and arcades this summer.
Zelky's, Rehoboth Beach
Zelky's is big for the Skee-Ball crowd on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. They also have sit-down arcade offerings like Jurassic Park and Walking Dead and the classics like air hockey, pinball, skill cranes, bean bag toss and such.
Zelky's has two locations on the Rehoboth boardwalk, and a third location is nearby at Tanger Outlets.
Zelky's Beach Arcade North is a part of the Dolle's Candyland building on the boardwalk, slated to become part of the One Rehoboth Avenue Hotel project. Demolition of the arcade and the former Dolle’s Candyland building and several other businesses is expected by this fall.
Zelky's north arcade will return to a bigger space when construction is completed, and Grotto Pizza, a partner in the hotel, will move to the Rehoboth Avenue corner in what was once Dolle's.

Ctrl V, Bear
This virtual reality arcade gives everyone an opportunity to wear a HTC Vive headset and explore what it's like to be placed in a simulated 3D environment that feels real.
They have 50 games and experiences to enjoy and that includes things like boxing, mini golf and zombie games.
There's a selection of multiplayer games that you also can play with friends and family. This VR arcade has virtual escape rooms too. Ctrl V customers pay $29.99 per VR station per hour.

Funtivity, Newark
Inspired by the famous "Fast and the Furious" film franchise, Futivity has several machines including racing games and throwbacks like "Space Invaders."
There's also a basketball machine for hoopers, Skee-Ball, ring toss, shuffleboard and more. If you need a snack, Funtivity offers candy, soda and other drinks.

Captain's Quarters Arcade
This classic joint in lower Delaware has enough games to keep young and old happy. Captain's Quarters Arcade has a mix of fun of old-school shooters to crane games and Skee-Ball. Snack options also are on tap including pizza, chicken tenders, popcorn, pretzels, soda and bottled water.

Main Event, Christiana
This place is big with more than 100 games to chose from. That includes first-person shooters, puzzle games and Dance Dance Revolution. Retro heads will enjoy throwbacks like "NBA Jam" and "Pac-Man.
They also have virtual reality games and laser tag. Patrons also can enjoy the food bar that offers nachos to pizza and wings.

Lefty's Alley & Eats, Lewes
The classic "Halo" title is an Xbox console game classic. But have you tried playing it in an arcade with your pals? Lefty's has "Halo" and other popular video game franchises int heir arcade. There is also a basketball machine and a menu that includes tasty pot stickers and more.

Hideout Arcade Bar, Rehoboth Beach
The Hideout Arcade Bar is brewing with nostalgia. This arcade has beloved games like "Tetris," "Star Wars Trilogy," "Arch Rivals," "Galaga" and "Golden Tee."
There's also Skee-Ball and pinball options like "Terminator," "Avatar," baseball and soccer games. Their menu offers wings, cheesesteaks, burgers, hot dogs and more.
