CHICAGO (WANE) – Two of college basketball’s best big men are gearing up for a big step in their basketball careers. Purdue’s Zach Edey and Indiana’s Kel’el Ware were both invited to the upcoming NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.

Edey swept all six major national player of the year awards in back-to-back seasons with the Boilermakers. The 7-foot-4-inch center averaged 25.2 points and 12.2 rebounds per game while helping Purdue reach the national championship game for the first time since 1969.

Ware enjoyed a breakout season in his only year with the Hoosiers. The 7-foot center averaged 15.9 points and 9.9 rebounds per game this past season with Indiana.

The NBA Draft Combine is scheduled for May 12-19 in Chicago. The draft is scheduled from June 26-27 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
